These terms of use apply to your use of the PhotoBoekKeeper app by BoekSolutions. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. General and applicability
These terms apply to anyone who installs or uses PhotoBoekKeeper. They are written for a consumer app and intended to be clear and reasonable.
2. Description and purpose of PhotoBoekKeeper
PhotoBoekKeeper is an Android app that helps you manage, select and organize your photo gallery. You swipe through photos to keep, trash or favorite them, and can also find duplicate photos and clean up folders.
3. Current development status
PhotoBoekKeeper is currently in development and not yet available through the Google Play Store. Features, screens and these terms may change before the app is publicly released.
4. Responsible use
You will only use the app for photos and videos you are entitled to, and not for unlawful purposes.
5. Your responsibility for your own photos, files and backups
You are responsible for backing up your own photos and videos. BoekSolutions is not responsible for the loss of files that were not backed up elsewhere.
6. Access to local and external storage
The app requests access to your local photo library (via Android's MediaStore) to display your gallery and perform the actions you choose (keep, move to trash, favorite). Support for external cloud storage is in development; once available, articles 7 and 8 below also apply to that storage.
7. OneDrive and Microsoft Graph integration
OneDrive is the first external cloud provider being developed. This integration uses Microsoft Graph and requires you to sign in with your Microsoft account through Microsoft's own secure sign-in process. PhotoBoekKeeper never sees, receives or stores your Microsoft password.
8. Consent for access to selected files or folders
When linking your OneDrive account, you explicitly grant, via Microsoft's own consent screen, access to specific files or folders that you select. PhotoBoekKeeper does not request more access than is needed for the features you use.
9. Withdrawing Microsoft consent and disconnecting an account
You can withdraw PhotoBoekKeeper's access to your Microsoft account at any time through your Microsoft account settings, and/or disconnect the account in the app's settings. After withdrawing consent or disconnecting, the app no longer has access to your OneDrive files.
10. Possible consequences of deleting, moving, sorting or modifying files
Deleting a photo always goes through a trash with a retention period; only afterwards is a photo permanently deleted, with your device's own confirmation. Moving, sorting or renaming files — locally or in linked external storage — can change the location or file name of your photos. Review changes carefully, especially for actions on external storage that don't go through the app's trash.
11. Availability, updates and changes to the app
BoekSolutions may change, extend or discontinue the app, its features and screens at any time. No uninterrupted availability is guaranteed.
12. Third-party services and dependency on providers such as Microsoft
Certain features depend on third-party services, such as Google (Android, MediaStore, Google Play) and, once available, Microsoft (OneDrive, Microsoft Graph). BoekSolutions is not responsible for the availability, functioning or policies of these external services.
13. Intellectual property
All rights to the app, the name PhotoBoekKeeper, its design and source code belong to BoekSolutions. Your own photos and videos remain your property at all times.
14. Privacy
How PhotoBoekKeeper handles your data is described in the privacy policy.
15. Reasonable limitation of liability
BoekSolutions is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app, to the extent permitted by law. This limitation does not apply to damage caused by intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of BoekSolutions.
16. No limitation of mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Dutch or European law.
17. Termination or discontinuation of use
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. BoekSolutions may terminate or suspend your use of the app in case of misuse or breach of these terms.
18. Changes to these terms
BoekSolutions may amend these terms. When changed, the date at the bottom of this page will be updated.
19. Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms.
