Nested BOMs stay together
Parent and child production BOMs are shown in one tree, in structural order, so a multi-level assembly reads top to bottom instead of page by page.
View every parent-child relationship, stage changes safely, and apply validated component updates without leaving certified source BOMs under development while you work.
Standalone add-on for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online. Published by Boeksolutions. Product interface in English and Dutch.
The app uses standard Business Central manufacturing relations. Changes are staged in app-owned session tables and are written to the standard production BOM only when you choose Save and Certify.
Parent and child production BOMs are shown in one tree, in structural order, so a multi-level assembly reads top to bottom instead of page by page.
Item and production BOM number, unit of measure, quantity per and routing link code use the standard Business Central relations and lookups you already know.
Open the editor directly from the Item Card or from a Production BOM. No separate navigation path to remember.
The tree opens read-only. Editing only starts when you explicitly begin a staged editing session, so browsing a structure can never change it.
Add, edit, delete and move component lines within the selected BOM group, keeping every change inside the group you actually chose.
Additions, changes, deletions and validation messages are visible in the tree before you save, so the whole change set can be reviewed as one picture.
While you review and stage, the source production BOMs keep their existing status. Reviewing a structure does not put certified BOMs under development.
Saving rechecks concurrency, runs standard Business Central validation, applies everything in one transaction, and restores originally certified child BOMs before their parents.
If any part of the save fails, the entire transaction is rolled back. You never end up with half a structure applied.
The app checks for shared BOMs, circular structures, missing or blocked components, excessive depth, and changes made outside your session.
Quantity precision and routing link code remain visible throughout, so rounding or routing detail is never quietly lost from view.
The first Marketplace release is a free beta. Evaluate it in a sandbox environment with representative data and apply your normal change-control process before using it in production.
